The job entails ensuring compliance with federal, state, and governmental regulations related to food production, maintaining quality policies, and serving as the liaison during FDA inspections. Responsibilities include developing and adhering to quality systems, overseeing various processes such as HACCP and GMP, and managing product testing and recalls. The role requires the authority to halt processes in case of quality or safety concerns, serving as the primary contact for customers and agencies, and providing technical expertise in formulation and manufacturing. Additionally, the position involves managing and developing a quality team, leading education and training initiatives, possessing strong analytical and communication skills, and maintaining confidentiality. Advanced computer skills, familiarity with lab equipment, good judgment, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to quality are essential qualities for this role.
