Our client, a leading full-service marketing and print communications company based in Fairfax, VA, is looking for a motivated and experienced Digital/Wide Format Print Production Specialist.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of practical experience in graphic design
• Comprehensive background, understanding, and experience with Adobe Creative Suite and Office 365.
• Knowledge of PDF, postscript files and PDF plug-ins
• Experience with Wide Format RIP Software
• Experience with preflight, imposition, scanning, font management, computer maintenance and backups
• The ability to consistently output to a variety of digital devices
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and attention to detail
• Great communication skills, both verbally and in writing
• Willingness to learn new skills and train others on these skills as they are incorporated into the digital workflow

Job Responsibilities

• Provide client education on proper submission of digital files

• Work with clients in a consultative manner to understand their needs and provide guidance for best solution
• Review Job orders to implement design, layout and file prep for file output and production
• Operate digital printers, plotter, laminator, wide-format equipment to produce

  client jobs

• Small sign installations, partial vehicle graphics

• Clean and maintain all equipment and recommend needed repairs

• Monitor computer, software, and equipment supply needs and report to

  management in timely manner to ensure consistency in production flow and

  avoid production shut downs

• Participate in daily production meetings

• Work with management to schedule workloads as necessary to meet promised due dates

• Collaborate with team members and be able to deliver final products to clients
• Coordinate with vendors to order and maintain sufficient supplies on

  hand, for both digital and wide format materials

• Provide estimate/quotes to clients
