Key Responsibilities:

 

Forklift Operation: Safely operate a forklift to move pallets and materials around the warehouse yard.

 

Loading and Unloading: Load and unload pallets from trucks, trailers, and storage areas, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

 

Material Handling: Handle pallets and materials with care to prevent damage and maintain product quality.

 

Inventory Management: Assist in keeping track of inventory levels and locations within the yard, reporting any discrepancies or issues to management.

 

Organization: Maintain a clean and organized warehouse yard, ensuring that pallets are stored neatly and safely.

 

Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following forklift operating guidelines.

 

Communication: Communicate effectively with warehouse team members and supervisors to coordinate tasks and ensure efficient workflow.

 

Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance checks on forklifts and report any mechanical issues or malfunctions to maintenance staff.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

 

Valid forklift operator certification/license.

 

Previous experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or similar environment preferred.

 

Strong attention to detail and focus on safety.

 

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

 

Good communication skills.

 

Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects and maneuver in tight spaces.

 

Additional Requirements:

 

Willingness to work in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions.

 

Flexibility to work overtime or weekends as needed.
