A leading full-service licensed electrical contractor company seeks a skilled and reliable Yard Worker with CDL and forklift experience to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our yard and transportation activities.

 

Yard Maintenance:

• Perform routine maintenance tasks to keep the yard clean, organized, and safe.
• Inspect and maintain yard equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.

Loading and Unloading:

• Safely load and unload materials, equipment, and products onto/from trucks.
• Utilize forklifts and other equipment to efficiently handle and transport goods within the yard.

CDL Driving:

• Operate commercial vehicles, including trucks and trailers, in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Transport goods to and from designated locations, ensuring timely and safe delivery.

Documentation:

• Maintain accurate records of yard activities, including inventory levels, equipment usage, and vehicle inspections.
• Complete necessary paperwork for shipments, deliveries, and any other relevant documentation.

Safety Compliance:

• Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a secure working environment.
• Report any safety concerns or incidents promptly to the supervisor.

Communication:

• Collaborate with warehouse and transportation teams to coordinate activities and optimize workflow.
• Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other stakeholders.

 

Qualifications:

1. Valid Commercial Driver's License CDL with a clean driving record and forklift experience.
2. Proven experience in yard work, including loading/unloading and equipment operation.
3. Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures in a warehouse and transportation setting.
4. Ability to lift heavy objects, operate forklifts, and perform physically demanding tasks.
5. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
6. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
7. Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
