Schedule: Monday – Friday Second Shift 2:30 pm – 11:00 pm

Job Description:

As a CNC Machinist with Programming expertise, you will be responsible for the setup, operation, programming, and inspection of CNC milling and lathe machines to produce precision parts and components. Your role will require proficiency in programming Haas mills and lathes, as well as Okuma lathes, and the ability to work with 3, 4, and 5-axis parts. Key responsibilities include:

• Programming Haas mills and lathes proficiently to generate tool paths and machining programs for 3, 4, and 5-axis parts.
• Setting up and operating lathe machines, including Okuma and Haas models, to produce components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documents to understand part requirements and machining instructions.
• Conducting basic inspections of first articles to verify dimensional accuracy and compliance with quality standards.
• Collaborating with engineering and production teams to optimize machining processes, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the efficient production of parts.
• Adhering to safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organized work environment to ensure a safe and efficient workplace.
• Documenting programming and setup activities, including tooling configurations, machine settings, and production output, for record-keeping and quality assurance purposes.
• Staying up-to-date with advancements in CNC technology, programming techniques, and machining processes through training and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education or certification in CNC machining or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in CNC programming, setup, and operation, with a focus on Haas mills and lathes.
• Proficiency in programming languages for CNC machining, including G-code and M-code, and experience with CAM software for generating tool paths.
• Hands-on experience setting up and operating lathe machines, including Okuma and Haas models.
• Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling concepts, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot machine issues and optimize machining processes.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality, precision parts.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
