Job Description:

As a Mechanical Drafter, you will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans for mechanical components and systems using computer-aided design (CAD) software. Your role will involve collaborating with engineers and other team members to translate design concepts into accurate and comprehensive drawings. Key responsibilities include:

RESPONSIBILITIES

• 3D/2D Design and Production Drawings, utilizing Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD
• Amend and create fabrication drawings and Bill of Material (BOM)
• Assist with facilitating production orders.
• Interface with Shop Fabricators and/or create solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Certificate of Completion in mechanical design, Degree in mechanical design, or a minimum of 3 years experience in drafting, with production orders, and/or with fabrication detailing.
• Experience with Autodesk Inventor 3D or SolidWorks 3D
• With an emphasis on sheet metal, have a working knowledge of manufacturing materials & processing methods.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & Outlook).
• Strong Mathematical background with a working knowledge of Geometry.
• A knowledge of the lighting industry is a plus
• Good communication skills.
• Detail oriented & organized
• Hardworking, reliable team player with good interpersonal skills
• Good Problem-Solving Skills
• Bi-lingual in English and Spanish is a large plus.
