Position: Sanitation Technician

Location: Santa Clarita, CA 

Salary: $18.50-$20 per hour

Schedule: Monday-Thursday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm & Fridays 7:00 am - 3:30 pm

Job Description: As a Machine Sanitation Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our manufacturing equipment and machinery in accordance with industry standards and regulatory guidelines. Your responsibilities will include:

- Conducting thorough cleaning and sanitization of hoppers and fillers used in the food industry.
- Performing routine maintenance tasks to ensure the proper functioning of equipment.
- Implementing lockout/tag-out procedures to ensure safety during sanitation and maintenance activities.
- Adhering to strict hygiene protocols and following established sanitation procedures.
- Collaborating with production and quality assurance teams to maintain cleanliness standards and prevent contamination.
- Documenting sanitation activities and reporting any issues or abnormalities to the appropriate personnel.
- Following all safety guidelines and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Participating in training sessions and staying up-to-date with sanitation best practices and industry regulations.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in sanitation, preferably in a manufacturing or food production environment.
- Familiarity with lockout/tag-out procedures and safety protocols.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Flexibility to work occasional overtime or weekends as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
