A prestigious business in the Sarnia area is seeking a talented Wills and Power of Attorney Clerk to become an integral part of their dynamic team.

 Qualifications:

  • Experience in an administrative role is required
  • Experience working in a law firm or corporate legal department is an asset
  • Strong computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office Suite is required
  • Experience in the following is not required but would be considered an asset: PC Law,  TerraView, Will Builder & Lawyer Done Deal
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced workplace
  • Highly organized with attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize workloads
  • Wage is based on experience, training required, and other considerations

 

Responsibilities:

  • Present a positive and professional image of the organization to all visitors, suppliers, inquiries, and other interactions
  • Closing purchases, sales, reporting, and document preparation
  • Draft, revise, and proofread legal correspondence to clients and opposing parties
  • Open and close files
  • Complete all transactional documentation for real estate transactions OR wills, and powers of attorney
  • Detailed file organization - paper and electronic filing
  • Facilitate residential and commercial purchase and sale files
