Express Employment of Long Beach is hiring Quality Control Inspectors to oversee the production process and ensure compliance of customer specs through visual and testing inspections for growing company in Long Beach.

POSITION:  Quality Control Inspector

LOCATION: Long Beach

RATE: $17.50 - $25.00/hr.

SCHEDULE: Tue, Wed, Thur 6pm-6:30am & Fri 6pm-12:30am

Responsibilities:

Product Inspections

Ø  Inspect the quality of the product, product should meet all visual and dimensional requirements.

Ø  Investigates and gathers information for any non-compliant product, documenting findings and reporting via electronic and verbal communication.

Ø  Use production first article, previous retains from article archives, and work instructions to ensure current production is meeting cosmetic standards.

Ø  Verify proper support equipment is being utilized for each job according to the work instructions– ex. Correct mandrels, drill bit sizes, proper gages, fixtures, etc.

Ø  Assure operator is following proper secondary operations according to the established process in the work instructions.

Ø  Reports all issues to shift supervisor, quality manager, and other key members via email or verbal communication.

Ø  Communicates expected quality standards to operator.

Ø  Triggers the QA- HOLD process upon detection of questionable or non-conforming product, providing communication team. 

Ø  Records periodic inspection result on daily log

 

Product Testing

Ø  Collects the required samples at each required sample period for product testing (measurements, impact, color, etc.)

Ø  Performs the required testing at the required sampling period as per the work instructions.

Ø  Immediately reports results of out of spec. to QA Manager and key team members.

Ø  Verify color according to color item numbers #s specified in the Bill of materials on the work order at the specified required sampling frequency.

Ø  Basic data entry of part data such as weights, color readings, measurements, etc. into MES software as per requirements of the job.

Ø  Provides a shift report at the end of his/her shift, reporting any and all key events.

Qualifications:

• Prior Experience as an Operator in manufacturing/production Floor
• Prior Quality Control experience
• Understanding of and ability to apply Basic Math Principles
• Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills as required to interface with other departments and company personnel
• Ability to read and communicate in English
