Quality Assurance Technician

Located in Walker, MI

Salary: $17-$20/hr, DOE

Quality Assurance Technician Job Summary: A growing food manufacturer based in Grand Rapids, MI, is looking to add a Quality Assurance Technician to perform required finished product testing and the practical completion of documentation and data entry and inspect finished products for food safety.

Quality Assurance Technician Requirements:

• Perform required finished product testing and the effective completion of documentation and data entry
• Inspect finished products for food safety hazards including foreign material
• Operate and maintain laboratory instruments as required
• Effectively communicate with all levels of positions within all departments as needed
• Notifies appropriate personnel when non-conformances are noted and assuring proper documentation noted
• Conduct Food Safety Inspections in the production environment
• Conduct Daily GMP inspections and follow through with enforcement of GMPs
• Conducting Weekly and Monthly tasks as assigned
• Ability to assist in raw material inspections and appropriate data entry
• Organize finished product retains
• Other duties with similar skills, work conditions, and responsibilities as assigned

Schedule & Pay:

• 2nd Shift: 2:30PM - 10:30PM OR 3rd Shift: 10:30PM-6:30AM; Monday – Friday, overtime as needed
• $17-$20/HR, based on experience

Quality Assurance Technician Qualifications:

• Strong Competency with mathematic operations
• Strong competency with computers and software, is preferable
• Previous experience in quality, especially in a food manufacturing environment, is preferred
• Excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
• Ability to motivate others to meet company and personal goals
