PURPOSE:

To assist the Security Manager in developing, implementing, and overseeing the security protocols, procedures, and measures to ensure the safety and security of assets, employees, and facilities. 2. Responsible for monitoring and analyzing security camera footage to ensure the safety and security of the premises. This role involves being vigilant, quickly identifying potential security breaches or incidents, and taking appropriate actions as per established protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support in Policy Development and Implementation:
  • Assist in formulating and updating security policies, protocols, and guidelines.
  • Help in implementing security procedures and ensuring they are adhered to by all employees and visitors.

Daily Operations Oversight:

  • Supervise staff, ensuring they are well-informed, trained, and carry out their duties effectively.
  • Coordinate with other departments to facilitate security operations and maintain a safe environment.

Incident Management:

  • Assist in handling security breaches and incidents.
  • Help in investigating and documenting security incidents, ensuring that all details are accurately recorded.

Training and Development:

  • Assist in organizing regular security training for staff to keep them informed of the latest security measures and protocols.
  • Facilitate drills and mock exercises to prepare the organization for potential security threats.

Administrative Duties:

  • Assist in the recruitment and onboarding of new security staff.
  • Handle security equipment inventory, ensuring all tools and technologies are in working order and properly maintained.

Reporting:

  • Assist in preparing periodic security reports for management, outlining security status, incidents, and recommendations.
  • Keep a record of all security operations, incidents, and any other relevant activities.

Liaise with External Entities:

  • Work closely with local law enforcement, emergency services, and other related agencies to ensure coordinated security efforts.
  • Stay updated with the latest security trends, threats, and best practices by attending workshops, seminars, and conferences.

Technology Integration:

  • Support in integrating and maintaining security technologies, such as CCTV, alarm systems, access control systems, etc.
  • Provide feedback on the effectiveness of current security tools and recommend upgrades or replacements as necessary.

 Monitor Surveillance Systems:

  • Watch multiple screens from CCTV cameras located around the premises to ensure the security and safety of assets and individuals.
  • Detect Suspicious Activities: Quickly identify any unusual or suspicious activities or behaviors and escalate them as necessary.

Log and Report: Maintain a daily log of all notable incidents, maintenance issues, or irregularities observed, and prepare reports as required.

Operate Systems: Proficiently use the CCTV control system, including zooming, panning, and recording functionalities to observe areas of interest.

Coordinate with Security Personnel:  Communicate efficiently with other security personnel or local law enforcement to respond to incidents or to provide evidence when required.

Routine Maintenance Checks:  Perform regular checks to ensure that all cameras and associated equipment are functioning correctly. Report any technical malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.

Compliance and Privacy:  Adhere to all company policies and regulations concerning surveillance, and ensure that surveillance does not infringe upon anyone's privacy rights.

Stay Updated:  Continuously update oneself on the latest security threats and measures to combat them. Participate in training as necessary.

Emergency Response:  Assist in coordinating responses during emergencies by providing real-time information from surveillance systems.

Conducts loading and unloading checks to Live Trucks:

  • Randomly check the number of pallets, manifest number, truck license tag and trucking Company and keep a log.
  • Conduct a count check of the delivered company’s supplies. Check for the quantity amounts that concur with the invoices.
  • Inspect all security personnel.  Make sure all security personnel are properly dress, equipped and on point.
  • Escort Contractors and Service Providers.   While in the yard or the Warehouse during their work.

Physical Requirements:

May be required to stand or walk for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and respond quickly in emergency situations. Ability to sit for prolonged periods. Good visual and auditory abilities to monitor multiple screens and listen to audio cues when applicable.

Work Environment: Typically, a control room setting equipped with multiple screens displaying video footage from various security cameras. The environment can be high-stress, especially during incidents or emergencies.
