Salary: $14 - $20/hour

 

• Visually inspects and listens to machines and equipment to locate causes of malfunctions.

• Uses multi-meter or other electronic measuring devices to diagnose electrical and electronic problems.

• Dismantles machines and equipment to gain access to problem areas. Inspects and measures parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other problems.

• Removes and repairs or replaces worn or defective components of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

• Realigns and adjusts components such as spindles, clutches, electronic and mechanical drive systems.

• Locates damaged air and hydraulic pipes and hoses on machines and measures, cuts threads and installs new components.

• Starts machines and equipment to test for proper operation following a repair.

• Repairs broken parts. Sets up and operates metal working tools such as lathe, mill, drill press, grinder or saw to make repairs.

• Repairs or modifies computers and computer-controlled systems. Maintains building, grounds, and company vehicles.
