A Business in Aurora, IL is looking to hire an Experienced Carpenter / Handyman FULL TIME.  UP TO $32 Per Hour

 

Carpenter Job Description

 

-          -Ability to read drawings / blueprints, understand scales, and use a tape measure, level, and other basic hand tools.

 -Ability to use a table saw, radial arm saw, jointer, surface planner, band saw, overhead router, drill press, hinge machine and laminate splitter.

 -This position it is necessary to be on your feet, on ladders and required to wear safety glasses when using hand routers, trim routers, table saws and all other equipment that may cause damage to the eyes.

-Needs to be familiar with laminate work and filing a finished edge.

 -Must be detailed and can write clearly for preparing packing lists and inventory material tracking tickets. Read English and understand direction off a blueprint and work orders / estimates.

-Certified forklift driver and some basic OHSA safety training for lifting and basic hand tool use would be a plus for this position.

- Basic electrical wiring is also a plus.

-Working knowledge of plywood, plexi, sintra, hard wood and MDF are a plus.

-Overtime from time to time as needed is required.

 

-        -Range of pay $15/hr to $32/hr based on skill set and years of experience. After a certain amount of time the qualified individual would have to join the Carpenters Union Local 1027.
