Painter needed for a university in New Orleans.

Key Responsibilities:

• The painter will perform industrial/commercial type painting, refinishing, and spraying to structures, furnishings, surfaces, and equipment.
• Hang and finish drywall and wallpaper and finish casework.  
• Responsible for cleaning and maintaining work areas.

This is an Essential Personnel position that can require that the incumbent must report for duty and work through emergencies and can be designated by the supervisor as essential for accomplishing work or for completing a critical task.

Required Data, Skills, and Abilities

• Capable of following oral, written, and diagrammed instructions
• Ability and willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays

Required Boost and/or Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Three years of related experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in other trades in addition to painting
