Salary: $16.50+/hour

Express is looking for Ada County - Pest Abatement District Field Technicians for the 2024 season that is starting up and begins March 1st!

 

Work with a great team outdoors with immediate opportunities for extended seasonal work with the county.  

 

Limited spots are available for the 8 month season. 

 

Schedule: Monday to Friday 7am – 3:30pm (may move to 6:30am – 3pm once it gets hot)

This is a seasonal position with the opportunity for hire in future seasons and paid trainings after the season ends.  

 

Wage structure:

$16.50/hr. + (wage increases possible within first month after paid training certifications - get paid to train and certified!)

 

Position Details:

• Trap and bait (using nonabrasive chemicals) Pocket gophers and Yellow-bellied marmots at sites throughout unincorporated Ada County.
• No experience necessary, training provided
• PPE and shirts will be provided (standard long pants, closed toed shoes required)

 

Requirements:

• Valid driver's license and a qualified driving record
• Able to follow complex verbal and written instructions
• Must pass Professional Applicator license test within one month of hire
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

There is room for career advancement by receiving Idaho State Department of Agriculture licensing and by acquiring varied skills from assisting with other departments.
