Company Overview: Express Employment Professionals is currently seeking dedicated Production Technicians to join our client''s team in Norman, Oklahoma. Our client specializes in the manufacturing of carbon nanotubes and is looking for individuals who are committed to excellence and safety in the production process.

 

General Summary: As a Production Technician, you will play a pivotal role in our manufacturing team, reporting to the Production Shift Supervisor. Your primary responsibilities will involve the production of catalyst and carbon nanotube materials, which are integral to a range of products.

 

Essential Job Functions:

• Collaborate with the Operations team to manufacture catalysts, carbon nanotubes, and related products.
• Demonstrate an unwavering commitment to safety and adhere to safe work practices.
• Operate various laboratory instruments, including basic analytical tools.
• Operate selected mechanical devices and chemical production systems.
• Maintain baseline conditions of equipment and assist with equipment maintenance as required.
• Ensure a clean and organized work area.

Preparation, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Demonstrated competence in working within a chemical production environment.
• Familiarity with the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment.
• Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting production systems.
• Experience with Computer Controlled Systems for Manufacturing.
• Familiarity with Quality Systems.
• Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office or equivalent.
• Ability to follow written operating instructions and maintain accurate work activity records (e.g., production records).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Willingness to perform additional incidental duties that support plant operations.
• Flexibility to work different shifts and weekends as needed.
• Strong work ethic.
• High School Diploma / GED required.
• Science education is a plus.
