Germantown Distribution Company looking for looking for a couple material handlers to help manual pack and stacking of products into cases and cases on pallets.

Hours: 6a-2:30p, Mon-Fri

Starting $17-18+/hour depending on experience

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

 

The Material Handler / Machine Operator will be working at the Germantown, WI location working with an automated production line that fills bags of potting mix, garden soils and mulch.

 

What You’ll Do In This Role as a Machine Operator:

• Operate a computer controlled production machine.
• Solve daily operations problems with limited supervision.
• Complete daily job checklists & equipment checks/calibrations to maintain quality.
• Maintain accurate records of samples & equipment operations.
• Perform safety audits on equipment
• All other duties as assigned
• Set up machines at the beginning of shift to ensure proper working order
• Maintain and clean machines before and after each shift
• Feed information through the machine set up box
• Monitor machines during every procedure to ensure optimum running
• Inspect that regular and preventative maintenance procedures are carried out
• Ensure that machines are producing quality products by managing periodic checks on output

What you''ll do in this role as a Material Handler:

 

• Stacking and packing corrugate cases with our small bags of product.
• You will also help maintain and ensure a safe and clean working environment.

What You’ll Need To Be Successful

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• A minimum of one plus years of production plant experience is preferred.
• Able to identify all materials used, detail oriented, follow safe practices and procedures, ability to read English or Spanish and follow directions
• Able to lift 50 pounds, and be able to climb ladders and work on their feet for the entire day.
