Saw Operator
Located in Grand Rapids, MI
Salary: $17.50/HR
Saw Operator Job Summary: A national plastic materials supplier is looking for a Saw Operator to add to their growing team. This position will run multiple Panel Saws to cut and process plastic materials to customer specifications.
Saw Operator Requirements:
- Ability to set up and run multiple Panel Saws
- Ability to read and understand basic prints
- Use inspection equipment such as saws, calipers, micrometers, gauges, tape measure
- Willing to cross train in other areas
- Review pick tickets and verify materials for order
- Fabrication and finish work like welding, gluing, pealing
- Accurately filling and preparing orders for shipment
- Operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes and processing machinery as needed
Schedule:
- 1st shift, 6am-2pm Monday-Friday with overtime as required on weekends
- 2nd shift, 12pm–10pm Monday-Thursday with overtime as required on Friday
- 3rd shift, 9pm-7am Sunday-Wednesday night with overtime as required on Thursday
Pay: $17.50/HR
Saw Operator Qualifications:
- Experience operating Panel Saw (preferred) but will train
- Ability to use tape measure, calipers and micrometers is helpful
- Able to stand, walk, bend, lift as required for duration of shift
- Able to lift/move 75lbs
- Mechanical aptitude
- Excellent attention to detail
- Able to read and understand work instructions
- Basic computer skills
- Must have valid Drivers License
