Metal Buyer - Day Shift

Located in Tualatin, OR

Salary: $19/hr.

A client of ours in Tualatin is looking to add a Metal Buyer to their team. If you have experience with forklifts and are good on a computer, this could be the perfect opportunity for you! While experience is preferred, we are willing to train.

This is an evaluation to full-time hire position.

Duties:

• Operate forklifts/front-end loaders for material handling.
• Load/unload designated trucks and trailers.
• Procure materials at competitive prices while meeting quality, quantity, and specification standards.
• Record data in the computer system for purchases and sales.
• Ensure commodities are free of contaminants.
• Notify supervisors and maintenance of equipment issues.
• Assist customers in the public depot and buyback area as necessary.
• Conduct daily site inspections for safety, cleanliness, and organization.
• Be open to other assigned duties as directed by management.

 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (KSAs):

• Proficient in multitasking in a fast-paced setting.
• Maintains composure under stress.
• Knowledgeable in safe equipment operation, including forklift and front-end loader.
• Works in an outdoor/warehouse environment with some repetitive mechanical tasks.
• Frequent lifting, computer use, pushing, pulling, walking, climbing, standing, kneeling, twisting, and requires good vision, hearing, and communication.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

 

Pay: $19/hr. 

Schedule(s): Monday - Friday 7:30am to 4pm
