The Medical Claims Processor will manage and process medical insurance claims. The Processor is responsible for compiling and maintaining records of charges for goods and services rendered in a healthcare facility. Processors handle insurance claims for patients, doctors, and hospitals. Processors review results from medical transactions and apply codes that allow insurance companies to pay their portion for procedures.

 

• Review, assess, and determine the validity of medical claims, non-insured healthcare benefit claims, and private insurance policies.

• Review thoroughness of information and gather additional facts as needed to finalize claims paperwork.

• Enter information and match to the correct insurance policy claim.

• Keep meticulous records of claims and follow up on lapsed or non-pay cases. 

• Remit payment to the appropriate physician if a claim is covered by the patient’s insurance policy.
