Job Description:

As an Experienced Warehouse Shift Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of the warehouse during your assigned shift. Your role is crucial in maintaining a smooth workflow, optimizing efficiency, and ensuring a high level of accuracy in all warehouse activities.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Team Leadership: Supervise and lead a team of warehouse associates during your shift. Provide guidance, support, and direction to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.

2. Workflow Coordination: Plan and coordinate daily activities, including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping, to meet operational goals and deadlines. Adjust priorities as needed to address changing demands.

3. Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels. Conduct regular cycle counts and coordinate with the inventory control team to address discrepancies.

4. Quality Assurance: Ensure that all warehouse processes adhere to quality standards. Implement and enforce best practices to minimize errors and defects in order fulfillment.

5. Equipment Oversight: Supervise the use of warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyors. Ensure equipment is properly maintained and operated safely.

6. Training and Development:  Provide training for new hires and ongoing coaching for existing team members. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and skill development within the team.

7. Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and guidelines. Conduct regular safety meetings, and address any safety concerns promptly. Promote a culture of safety awareness among warehouse staff.

8. Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with team members, other shift leads, and warehouse management. Report any issues, delays, or challenges to ensure a proactive approach to problem-solving.

9. Customer Service: Collaborate with customer service and fulfillment teams to prioritize orders and meet customer expectations. Address any customer-related issues that arise during the shift.

10. Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of warehouse activities, including shift reports, performance metrics, and incident reports.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
- Proven experience in a warehouse environment, with a track record of successful leadership in a shift lead or similar role.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant technology.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations.
