Warehouse Inventory Coordinator
Duties & Responsibilities:
Provides day-to-day accountability for supply inventories, monitoring volumes, flow, and sourcing. The Inventory Coordinator will provide oversight for inventory related projects and assignments.
• Applies correct cycle count and other standard operations procedures.
• Analyzes product usage and adjusts inventory levels as appropriate to optimize inventory levels.
• Anticipates supply needs and communicates potential interruptions to Manager/Supervisor and customers.
• Maintains current Materials Management Information System database.
• Maintains and monitors distribution statistics. Creates and submits monthly and ad hoc reports
• Assists in supply product evaluations.
• Assists in development of departmental policies and procedures, in coordination with supervisors and managers
• Assists leadership in managing various inventory control projects.
Inventory Coordinator Requirements & Skills:
• Bachelor''s degree in business-related field, logistics or supply chain management, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of Supply Chain Management experience is required.
• Formal training in Lean/Six Sigma or similar process improvement programs is preferred. • CMRP (Certified Materials Resource Professional) is preferred.
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills for a demanding and customer focused working environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to independently make decisions and take action regarding supply shortages, and/or makes recommendations based on analysis of information
• Possess excellent organization and business administration skills in accordance with best practice methods.
• Possess the ability to work productively, efficiently & effectively with initiative and drive under tight timescales and pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
• Possess the willingness to learn, improve and adapt.
• Possess IT and computer skills in relevant business applications
