 Maintenance Mechanic 1 |  $20 - $21 Hourly - 1st & 3rd Shift  | Haven, Kansas

 

Position Overview: Join a local team as a Maintenance Mechanic 1! This role involves assisting in maintenance, repairs, and installations using technical skills in compliance with codes and standards.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain repair logs for equipment in compliance with federal, state, and company requirements.
  2. Proactively resolve issues using preventative maintenance techniques.
  3. Drive and maintain forklifts, man lifts, and pick-ups.
  4. Utilize welding and cutting torch for project completion.
  5. Use hand tools, power tools, and special equipment for projects.
  6. Assist in the installation and maintenance of buildings, grounds, and machinery.
  7. Analyze down equipment and specify repair parts for ordering.

 

Position Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to work additional hours to meet company goals.
  • Preventative maintenance skills.
  • Positive attitude and focus on teamwork.
  • Safety-minded with mechanical ability.
  • Some knowledge of electricity, especially 480 volt and 110 volt.
  • 3-5 years of experience in equipment repair and maintenance.

 

Pay:

  • $20 per hour for 1st shift
  • $21 per hour for 3rd shift
