Materials Planner – Automotive

Responsibilities

• Scheduling and coordination of customer requirements
•  All Material functions: Production, Planning/Scheduling, Customer Service, Service Operations
• Use of mainframe-based systems for planning
• Planning and scheduling manufacturing requirements in line with customer needs
• Clear and concise customer/vendor communications

Skills for Success

• High School Diploma
• College diploma in Business or Production and Inventory Control, or equivalent APICS
• Community College Diploma in Material Management
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in manufacturing, with planning – Automotive experience an asset
• Thorough knowledge of MRP, Shipping Applications, Schedule Pro, VIN, Crysler Supplier Portal, CMMS, EDDL, Capacity Database and MS Programs
• Strong communication skills
• Good mathematical, analytical and decision-making skills
• Knowledge of TS16949 requirements
• Experience with implementing lean production techniques in manufacturing – Six Sigma or Green Belt preferred

Schedule And Wages

• Day shifts (Monday to Friday) 9:00am to 5:00pm
• $31-33/hr Depending on Experience
