Production Worker/Machine Operator

Salary: $24.00 / hour

Our client is currently looking for a responsible and reliable Production Labourer to join their team. The ideal candidate is someone who is familiar with operating machinery and who has a positive attitude and motivation to learn!

Required skills and qualifications:

• Safety Conscious
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a physically demanding position (Construction, Landscaping, etc.)
• Must be able to demonstrate consistent work history
• Must be willing to travel to Carp
• Good Attitude
• Must be able and willing to learn
• Capable of lifting up to 50lbs frequently
• Must have own vehicle (Not bus accessible)

Duties included but are not limited to:

• Bend, cut, bundle and load steel bars in accordance with customer orders
• Unload trailers and store materials into storage bins
• Operate bending machine
• Operate machine (shear) that cuts steel bars to specified lengths
• Assemble and load orders onto trailers for shipping
• Operate a spray gun to apply epoxy to steel bars
• Maintain cleanliness of the shop
• Other duties as assigned

Available Shift:

• Evening Shift – Monday to Friday – 3:00pm to 11:00pm

The starting wage for this shift is $24.00 per hour with an increase to $25.50 per hour after probation.
