The Specialized Recruiting Group of Express Employment Professionals is hiring a Professional Tax Preparer, CPA/EA in Seymour, Crothersville, and Scottsburg

Job Summary: 

• Positive communication with clients to collect any necessary supplemental documents, such as relevant financial records, tax forms, income statements, etc., to prepare income tax returns
• Use applicable federal, state, and local tax law to determine deductions resulting in a client’s ultimate refund or amount due
• Complete and file tax documents with appropriate agencies, including the IRS and state and local departments of revenue
• Conduct general ledger reconciliation to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data - Perform journal entries and maintain accurate records of financial transactions
• Provide financial services to clients, including tax planning, budgeting, and forecasting
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
• Salary: Up to $75K, commensurate with experience

Qualifications:

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Enrolled Agent (EA), Tax Attorney, or the like designation is required
• Bachelor''s degree in Accounting or related field
• Strong financial acumen and understanding of financial accounting principles
• Proficiency in using accounting and tax software
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Note: Experience in private equity or financial services is preferred but not required.
