Maintenance Laborer

Hours are between 7:30am-3:30pm, $17.32/hour

The Maintenance Laborer will report directly to the Maintenance Coordinator. Work assignments will be received from the Maintenance Coordinator & will be subject to inspection & review.

Duties for the position:

• Clean vacant apartments, prepare apartments for routine maintenance & painting. 
• Paint apartments in preparation for occupancy.
• Assist Maintenance Aides with work order repairs.
• Custodial duties of keeping common areas clean, safe, & sanitary. 
• Perform routine grounds keeping & snow removal duties as needed based on seasonal requirements.
• Keep outdoor grounds, common areas, & parking lots in neat & orderly manner, free from litter & debris. 
• Assist Maintenance Coordinator with maintaining an inventory of supplies & equipment. 
• Perform a variety of basic maintenance, cleaning, & grounds keeping tasks as directed by the Maintenance Coordinator. 
• All other duties as directed by the Maintenance Coordinator. 

Qualifications & Skill Requirements: 

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license, insurable record
• Knowledge of use & hazards of cleaning materials
• Ability to use cleaning tools & chemicals
• Ability to paint
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
• Ability to operate small machinery (floor cleaners, lawnmowers, snow blowers)
