Shipping Receiving Supervisor

Express Employment Professionals is currently hiring for a Shipping Receiving Supervisor for our client company in St. Catharines. This company is responsible for Manufacturing Automotive Parts throughout the Region. They are seeking an individual who has Supervisory experience in Shipping/ Receiving and can coordinate hours and employees. Responsibilities

• Directly supervising assigned hours for personnel performing shipping/ receiving duties and employees
• Responsible for coordinating all activities in Shipping/Receiving Departments in alignment with division practices and policies
• Supervising the dock facilities and manpower for loading/unloading of inbound and outbound freight, ensure that all outbound shipments of material have the required paper work.
• Responsible for the operations of shipping/receiving ensuring all employees adhere to company hour rules and regulation, and safety guidelines
• Work with manufacturing and production schedulers to ensure timely and cost effective operations
• Schedule repairs to shipping /receiving equipment, carrier arrivals, ensure that all shipping requirements are met and smooth workload.

Skills for Success

• High School Diploma
• College diploma in Business with courses or experience related to Production and Inventory Control, Freight Management, Customs/Traffic Management or Manufacturing Supervision preferred.
• 3-5 years minimum of supervisory experience or equivalent experience in shipping/ receiving
• Great leadership skills
• Strong communication skills
• Good keyboard skills, ability to use Excel, Word, First Aid/CPR
• Numeric Accuracy
• Knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation, plants, operations, and customer base.

Schedule And Wages

• Day shifts (Monday to Friday) 9:00am to 5:00pm
• $31-33/hr Depending on Experience
