Job Title:      Electronics Calibration Technician

 

Summary:    The Electronics Calibration Technician candidate will be need to work in a team environment. The candidate will be responsible for the testing, troubleshooting, repairing and calibration of precision electronic measurement equipment used in the design, testing, assembly in aerospace manufacturing industry. The position requires basic math, algebra, geometry, calculus, physics knowledge and mathematical unit(s) conversions. The person will report to the laboratory supervisor. Duties may also require visits to customer facilities and lifting up to 50 lbs.

 

Duties/ResponsibilitiesThe responsibilities of the technician will be to:

  • Calibrate, adjust and/or repair of electronic measurement equipment per procedures to meet specific requirements provided by clients/manufacturers.
  • i.e.: power supplies, multimeters, frequency generators/counters, ESD testers, ovens, oscilloscopes etc.
  • Performs configuration, verification, diagnostics, repair and calibration of customer equipment.
  • Update/Upgrade software, components and product modifications using schematics, diagnostic tools and procedures etc.
  • Be able to meet weekly deadlines and process orders within allocated time to meet strict customer time-lines.
  • Be able generate and process data collection method for statistical analysis.
  • Review and update computer system and/or documentation for proper record keeping, tracking equipment, maintaining calibration status and other relevant information.
  • Maintaining stock of parts in his/her designated area/department.

 

Education/Requirements:

  • Metrology experience (PMEL preferred) – 3 years minimum.
  • Familiar and experience with ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 17025, ASTM, ANSI and similar quality standards/protocols/procedures.
  • Experience working with following manufacturer’s equipment: Agilent, HP, Tektronix, Fluke, Keysight, etc.
  • Bachelor Degree in engineering (preferred); Will consider Associates Degree or another Occupational Training/Certification.
  • Driver’s License (USA)
  • Must be able to read, write and understand English
  • Must be proficient with using MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook.
  • Knowledge of basic math, algebra, geometry, calculus and physics.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
    • Good verbal and written communication skills
    • Experience using Windows PC, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook.
  • Pay is $22.00 per hour to $35.00 per hour DOE
