We are looking for a reliable Saw Assistant to join our client’s team!

Job Duties:

Take direction from the saw operator and perform the following duties:

Cut extrusions to their required length according to customer requirements and properly stack them onto age carts.
Record accurate counts of material cut an see that all material is properly identified and dimensionally correct before it is transferred to the tempering dept.
Verify extrusion dimensions from engineering prints.
Strives towards a culture of proactive safety.
Act as a back-up operator to the saw operator once properly trained.

Requirements:

Must be able to continuously lift up to 50 lbs. throughout the shift.
Working knowledge of how to use a tape measure.
Able to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Able to stand for long periods of time.
Able to walk, sit, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Must be able to work in hot environment.
Ability to perform all duties as outlined in the Operating Procedures and Work Instructions.
Must wear the following PPE: Safety glasses, hearing protection, steel toed shoes/boots and gloves.
