Salary: $50,000-$55,000/yr

Staff Accountant – Minimum 5 years of experience and Bachelor’s degree in accounting. This individual will also be the backup to the Accounting & Finance Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Accounts Payable – All aspects incl. maintaining vendor profiles, W-9, 1099 reporting. Coding, and posting invoices and expense reports. Prepare weekly disbursements. Reconcile subledger to general ledger. Correspond with vendors, respond to inquiries, reconcile vendor statements.
• Reconcile credit card statements
• Prepare monthly sales and use tax information, reconcile general ledger accounts
• Prepare monthly payroll journal entry and reconciliation
• Review general ledger accounts, prepare adjusting journal entries
• Prepare general ledger account reconciliations
• Maintain fixed asset files, tagging assets
• Assist with month-end and year-end close process
• Assist in providing necessary support during annual audit
• Assist Accounting Manager with other related duties as required
• Ensure compliance with GAAP
• Ensure policies and procedures are being followed

 

Skills:

• Knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping (BS Degree in Accounting)
• Experience with ERP software systems a plus, but not a requirement
• Proficient in MSOffice software packages, esp. Excel
• Good organization and time management, detailed, reliable
• Able to work independently as well as in a team setting
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, good judgement
• Excellent written and verbal skills
• Maintain confidentiality
• German language skills an asset but not a requirement
