Express Employment Professionals Cincinnati East is now hiring to fulfill a 3rd shift Lithographic Press Operator for a Batavia, OH print manufacturing fim. 

 

Overview: 
The Lithographic Press Operator is responsible for setting up and preparing the press correctly to run jobs, maintaining smooth operation of the press during runtime to ensure quality products, and keeping the work area clean and organized. A person in this role with exceptional performance will have the opportunity to learn new duties and be promoted to a Lithographic Press Lead role and assist in technical troubleshooting and floor management. An ideal candidate is someone with Lithographic press operating experience, is quality minded, has good attendance, and possesses a desire to grow their career with us! Our Batavia plant runs a seven day per week operation with a 2-shift production schedule, 12 hour shifts with overtime as required by business needs for the Lithographic Press Operator.

 

Core Functions: 
• Collect and verify all materials match the job specification (SPEC) sheet to complete the next run.
• Examine plates, ink colors, sheet lengths, and other items to produce accurate labels.
• Clean ink off rollers and press, set rollers, set keys, and certify press is clear of obstacles.
• Adjust settings on computer software for press specifications and quality needs.
• Efficient in installing and setting up blankets, packings, and other press equipment.
• Pour and refill inks into the correct ink fountains to maintain optimal running conditions (ink levels, ink
water balance, and water chemistry).
• Ensure smooth operation and timely pace of production line to meet restrictions and deadlines.
• Responsible for housekeeping and cleanliness of work area/production zone.
• Related duties as assigned.
Experience/Skills Required:
• High school education or equivalent.
• Exhibits a safety-first attitude in all that is done, from proper personal protection equipment compliance to keeping the work environment safe and hazard-free. Compliance with all workplace and safety standards required.
• Technical and mechanical experience in printing/operating, Lithographic printing preferred.
• Keen attention to detail to verify all materials being added are correct.
• Responsibility for work produced and constantly checking quality of products.
• Ability to communicate and relay information to coworkers, supervisors, and management regarding maintenance needs or other items.
• Skilled problem solving and troubleshooting techniques
• Possess skills to prioritize, multi-task, and work in a fast-paced environment.
