Express Employment Professionals Cincinnati East is now hiring a Litho Press Assistant for the night shift at a local print production facility in Batavia, OH. 

Overview: 
The Lithographic Press Assistant is responsible for gathering all necessary material and setting up the press correctly to run the next job, while assisting the Operator in press running duties. This involves collecting and adding parts along with cleaning the press. A person in this role with exceptional performance will have the opportunity to learn new duties and be promoted to a Lithographic Press Operator role. An ideal candidate is someone with mechanical experience, is quality minded, has good attendance, and possesses a desire to grow their career with us! Our Batavia plant runs a seven day per week operation with a 2-shift production schedule, 12 hour shifts with overtime as required by business needs for the Lithographic Press Assistant.

Core Responsibilities: 
• Collect and verify all materials match the job specification (SPEC) sheet to complete the next run.
• Examine plates, ink colors, sheet lengths, and other items to produce accurate labels.
• Clean ink off rollers and press and certify press is clear of obstacles.
• Adjust settings on computer software for press specifications and quality needs.
• Assist Operator in installing and setting up blankets, packings, and other press equipment.
• Pour and refill inks into the correct ink fountains to maintain optimal running conditions.
• Ensure smooth operation and timely pace of production line to meet restrictions and deadlines.
• Responsible for housekeeping and cleanliness of work area/production zone.
• Related duties as assigned.

Experience/Skills Required:
• High school education or equivalent.
• Exhibits a safety-first attitude in all that is done, from proper personal protection equipment compliance to keeping the work environment safe and hazard-free. Compliance with all workplace and safety standards required.
• Mechanical experience and possesses quick learning skills.
• Keen attention to detail to verify all materials being added are correct.
• Responsibility for work produced and constantly checking quality of products.
• Ability to communicate and relay information to coworkers, supervisors, and management regarding quality, maintenance needs, or other items.
• Skilled problem solving and troubleshooting techniques.
• Possess skills to prioritize, multi-task, and work in a fast-paced environment.

 

Schedule: Night Shift, 12hour rotations. Candidate should be flexible for shift adjustments
Pay: $19.50/hour, +$1/hour shift differential
