Forklift Operator

Located in Ottawa, ON

Salary: $19.50

Our client, a transportation & logistics company located in the South, is currently looking for a dependable and experienced Forklift Operator to join their team on a full-time permanent basis.

Required skills and qualifications:

• Previous cross-dock experience considered a strong asset
• Must have previous experience operating a counterbalance forklift
• Safety Conscious
• Ability to work independently/in a team
• Must have own vehicle (no bus available for shift start time)
• Must be willing to work early morning shift (3:00am to 11:30am)

Duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Loading and unloading freight to and from trailers with an electric jigger, manual pallet jack and counterbalance forklift
• Receiving and shipping parcels
• Sorting parcels / packages by postal codes
• Maintaining cleanliness of warehouse
• Conducting pre and post use inspections on forklift and other equipment
• Working safely and efficiently at all times
• Other duties as assigned

 

The starting wage for this position starts at $19.50 per hour.

Work Hours: Monday to Friday – 3:00am to 11:30am
