Salary: $22 - 27/hr

Job Title: MIG Welder

$22 - 27/hr, depending on experience

Day Shift: Monday - Friday 6:00am - 2:30pm

Location: NE Portland

 

Our company is seeking a skilled and experienced MIG (Metal Inert Gas) Welder to join our team. As a MIG Welder, you will be responsible for welding various metal parts and structures according to engineering specifications.

 

Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret engineering blueprints, sketches, and specifications
- Set up welding machines and equipment to ensure proper settings for the materials being welded
- Weld metal parts and structures using MIG welding techniques
- Inspect welded joints for quality and make necessary repairs
- Use hand and power tools to grind, cut, and clean welded parts as needed
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Other duties as assigned

 

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in MIG welding
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to perform quality work
- Knowledge of welding safety practices and protocols
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Familiarity with hand and power tools used in welding
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
