Our client is seeking a Production Supervisor!

The Production Supervisor is responsible for supporting and coordinating all operations which occur in the production facility. This position oversees the production team on the floor and directs the leads to effectively and efficiently perform the functions of their jobs in order to successfully produce orders.

ESSENTIAL POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety, and morale to achieve positive results in all areas of production. Work continuously to improve in all areas.
• Continue to improve managerial abilities and increase subordinates’ skills and capabilities.
• Control and minimize labor overtime.
• Provide leadership and training to accomplish the company goals and objectives.
• Provide direction, development, and leadership to production supervisors.
• Discusses improvements and work with production floor teams to complete root cause analysis on issues identified in the process.
• Ensures that the Site Quality Policy, Operational Procedures and High Standards of Workmanship are always maintained.
• Stay current with new technologies and trends in the manufacturing industry.
• Monitor quality of all goods produced.
• Identify, report and problem solve conditions or practices that may compromise safety or overall production effectiveness.
• All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor’s degree in related field or 5 years’ plant supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience working in an ERP system
• Experience working on a Continuous Improvement event; leading a Continuous Improvement event preferred
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Apps (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Effective leadership, coaching, training, and mentoring abilities of shop floor employees.
• Ability to effectively communicate throughout the organization in written and verbal form and the ability to prioritize work assignments and analyze data.
• Ability to be a productive team member in both formal and informal settings.
• Ability to achieve results in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to perform any other related job tasks that may be assigned by the supervisor/manager
