General Labor

The general laborer will be responsible for performing a variety of physical tasks on job sites, primarily related to manual labor and construction. The successful candidate must have a good understanding of using power tools, hand tools, and the ability to work at heights using ladders. The role requires physical strength, stamina, and the ability to work in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities:

• Perform general construction tasks such as digging, carrying materials, and site cleanup.
• Utilize power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently to complete assigned tasks.
• Work at heights up to 20 feet using ladders and follow safety guidelines.
• Assist skilled tradespeople in their tasks, including carpenters, masons, or electricians.
• Load and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment.
• Support in the assembly and dismantling of scaffolding and temporary structures.
• Operate heavy machinery or equipment as required, after suitable training.
• Adhere to safety protocols and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary.
• Follow instructions from supervisors and communicate effectively with team members.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure tools and equipment are properly secured.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in general labor or construction is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of operating power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
• Ability to climb ladders up to 20 feet and work at heights following safety guidelines.
• Physical stamina and ability to perform strenuous tasks consistently.
• Familiarity with basic construction principles and techniques.
• Ability to follow instructions, receive feedback, and work effectively within a team.
• Must possess a strong work ethic, be reliable, and have a positive attitude.
• Adherence to safety regulations and ability to identify and address potential hazards.
• Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, or evenings as needed.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Salary: The hourly rate for this position is $16 per hour.
