Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Class A Cement Truck Driver with expertise in slumping operations to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting and delivering cement to construction sites in a safe and efficient manner. The ability to operate the truck's slump system, ensuring the proper consistency of the delivered concrete, is a key requirement for this role.

Responsibilities:

1. Safely operate a CDL Class A cement truck to transport, Mix and deliver cement to construction sites.
2. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck to ensure it is in good working condition.
3. Operate the slump system to adjust the consistency of the concrete according to project specifications.
4. Communicate with dispatch and construction site personnel to coordinate delivery schedules.
5. Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols, including the proper securing of the load and the use of personal protective equipment.
6. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and hours worked.
7. Perform routine maintenance on the truck, such as checking fluid levels and reporting any mechanical issues.
8. Follow established procedures for cleaning and maintaining the slump system.
9. Assist with loading and unloading of cement as needed.

Requirements:

1. Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
2. Proven experience as a cement truck driver, with a focus on slumping operations.
3. Knowledge of and ability to operate slump systems to adjust the consistency of concrete.
4. Familiarity with safety regulations and guidelines related to the transportation of hazardous materials.
5. Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with dispatchers and construction site personnel.
6. Physical ability to climb, stoop, bend, and lift heavy objects.
7. Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet delivery deadlines.
8. Attention to detail and a commitment to safety.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Previous experience working in the construction industry.
2. Additional certifications related to commercial driving and concrete operations.
3. Knowledge of local traffic laws and routes.
