A manufacturing company in Lowellville is looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join their team!

 

Job Summary: As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and overseeing the production of mechanical systems and devices.

 

Responsibilities:

• Create detailed design drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software
• Conduct feasibility studies and testing to evaluate the functionality and performance of mechanical systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions and products
• Perform stress analysis, thermal analysis, and other simulations to ensure the integrity and reliability of mechanical components
• Evaluate the efficiency and safety of mechanical systems
• Build prototypes of mechanical systems for testing and validation
• Conduct experiments and tests to identify and resolve design issues
• Analyze test data and modify designs accordingly
• Select appropriate materials for components based on mechanical properties and cost
• Work with manufacturing teams to ensure efficient and cost-effective production processes
• Provide guidance on fabrication and assembly processes
• Manage projects from conception to completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure timely delivery of products
• Create and maintain detailed design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and test reports
• Identify opportunities for improvement in design processes and implement changes as needed
• Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) may be preferred for certain roles
• Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant engineering tools
• Understand fabrication, hydraulics, pneumatics, electronics and mechanical design
• 3D modeling of mechanical parts (SolidWorks preferred)
• CNC machining knowledge
• Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)

Salary: $85,000-$95,000 based on experience
