Our client in the Sandusky OH area is looking for First Printing Press Operator. 

Shift Flex Range - 2 pm to 6 am

Pay - $25+

 

ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE PREVIOUS PRINTING PRESS EXPERIENCE!! IT IS REQUIRED.

 

COMPANY CONFORMANCE ESSENTIAL REQUIRMENTS

In the performance of their respective tasks and duties all employees are expected to conform to the following:

• Ability to work in a state of alertness that is required to consistently complete assigned work in a safe manner.
• Performs quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision.
• Works overtime and weekends when assigned based on production needs.
• Responsible for keeping work area neat and orderly and follows all 5S directives that are implemented.
• Complies with all ISO Quality Policies and Procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Adheres to paperwork information per customer specs

• Correctly figures out needs for jobs being run using basic math skills
• Precisely inputs production information into the manufacturing software following work instructions and using basic computer knowledge
• Uses Press Sign software or densitometer to check color density
• Completes board non-conformances when needed

2. Sets up printer in a timely matter for printing of folded cartons

• Selects and mounts proper printing plate for job
• Fills ink fountains with appropriate color(s) and adjusts rate of flow of ink for quality printing in a timely fashion to meet customer specs

3. Runs job for production and follows job speed specs

• Constantly monitors job run for accuracy and clarity of printing
• Adjusts settings to ink viscosity; or shuts down press and makes adjustments so that the quality is to customer or standard specs
• Monitors viscosity of coating as needed and adjusts accordingly

4. Performs maintenance

• Removes ink from rollers and fountains
• Completes machine maintenance according to maintenance schedule includes oiling/greasing

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• HSD/GED 
• at least three months in-house related experience and/or training or one year related experience and/or training.
• ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE PREVIOUS PRINTING PRESS EXPERIENCE!! IT IS REQUIRED.
