Vessel Fitter
A local East Houston company is searching for a Vessel Fitter with welding experience. The Vessel Fitter is responsible for fitting parts in sub-assembly and complete heat exchangers, while also gathering materials per job assignment and performing the necessary layout per prints.
Key Responsibilities and Expected Results (w/Minimal Supervision)–
- Fit parts in sub-assembly and complete heat exchangers safely and per standards
- Review engineering drawings prior to all manufacturing operations
- Gather materials per job assignment and performing the necessary layout per prints
- Respectfully maintain effective working relations with co-workers at all times
- Complete work in a safe, productive, and efficient manner
- Complete operator inspections
- Maintain clean and safe work areas
- Participate in company sponsored programs and initiatives including but not limited to QS, 5S, Production Boards, Continuous Improvement Team, Safety, etc.
- Work in other areas of production as required
- Notify supervision to determine when machinery needs to be placed out of service
- Notify supervision to order machinery replacement parts, shop production consumables, miscellaneous supplies and safety supplies
- Support and follow all rules, procedures and daily standard work as defined by the company
- Complete projects or tasks assigned by the Area Manager, Area Supervisor, Operations Manager or General Manager and other duties as assigned.

- Lift or carry 50 lb. Max
- Lift Range 36 inches (Commonly) to 66 inches
- Push/Pull 25 lb. Max
- Constant standing/walking
- Occasional Squatting, Kneeling, Stair Climbing, and Crawling

- Willingness to gain industry training and skills
- Experience in maintaining a safe workspace
- Willingness to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd Shift hours
