CNC Machinist/Operator - Swing Shift

Salary: $15 -$21/hr. DOE

A client of ours in Tualatin is looking to add a CNC Operator to their Swing Shift team. If you are looking for some new and rewarding work to flex your skills with a CNC machine, this is the position for you! This client is looking for an experienced CNC Operator who knows their way around 4th-axis CNC machines, as well as supplemental tools of the trade including calipers, blade micrometers, and deburring tools. This is an evaluation to full-time hire position.

Duties:

Responsible for safe, effective and efficient operation of one or more production machines in accordance with company machining standards and under general supervision of the machine shop supervisor.

• Loads parts onto correct fixtures
• Load the fixtures onto the 4th Axis CNC Machine
• Performs minor hand operations, such as part/product filing, deburring, and cleaning parts and equipment
• Verifies that parts are in conformance with specifications
  Effectively uses calipers, blade micrometer, or height stand to measure parts
• Performs secondary operations as instructed to prepare machined parts for downstream processing
• Uses hand-deburring tools to prep parts for the next operation
• Maintains workstation in a safe and clean manner
• Performs effective start-up and shut-down procedures

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities (KSAs):

• Ability to load and unload CNC Machine, ability to visually inspect parts and look for errors, ability to stand for duration of shift
• Hard-working, quick learner, flexible in job duties as they may change, ability to work in a team and independently
• Ability to lift up to 10lbs regularly, 40lbs occasionally, standing position
• High school diploma or GED
• At least 1 year of machine operation, CNC preferred but not required, General (Entry Level) or up to Level 3.
• Experience with 4th Axis CNC Machine, calipers, blade micrometer, and deburring tools.
• Reliable employee who is a team player

Pay: $16.50- $21 / Hourly DOE

Schedule: Monday-Thursday 3:30 pm- 2 am
