Salary: $32.00 - $35.00/hr DOE

 

Express Employment Professionals is recruiting a skilled Pipefitter/Steamfitter for a rapidly expanding company in Beamsville.  Our client is a family owned, metal fabrication company specializing in custom orders for the food & beverage, winery and furniture industries with a long standing history in Niagara. This is a full-time permanent hire with an attractive starting wage and benefits after 3 months.

Responsibilities

Install and maintain piping and associated systems adhering to acts and regulations to company standards. Field work with a variety of client sites and institutions.

• Perform preventative maintenance procedures, to minimize downtime and maintenance costs, and manage equipment efficiencies

• Operating accessory equipment for pipe fitting (pipe beveling, pipe threading, pipe cutting, torch or plasma cutter, drill press)

• Measure, cut, thread, groove, bend, assemble and install metal pipe, valves, and fittings.

 

Skills for Success

Ability to comprehend blueprints and mechanical aptitude

2 - 4 years of pipefitting or steam fitting experience in large institutional settings

Preference given to those with Stainless sanitary pipe welding (purge welding)

Valid G license (Clean record preferred)

Driving to client sites for field work (through Niagara Region and Golden Horseshoe areas)

Ability to work independently or as a team

Good knowledge of rigging, overhead cranes, and welding tools/equipment

Willingness to work overtime as required

 

Shifts

Monday to Friday (Day Shift only): 7:30am – 4:00pm (flexible start times)
