Technical Support Engineer

Description

We are an environmental technology business providing a wide variety of products and service management for local and nationwide customers.  We are seeking a dynamic, self-starting versatile Technical Support Engineer with a friendly attitude, detailed oriented and organized for a full-time position (M – F; 7:00AM – 4:00PM) who will operate out of our Panorama City offices.  We repair, install and service commercial / industrial waste and recycling equipment in greater Los Angeles area as well as Nationwide.

Essential Functions / Responsibilities:

-Support our in-house field service technicians with training and troubleshooting assistance on electrical and hydraulic issues.

-Support a growing number of truck mounted compactors around the US. Build a service network to support operators. Directly support operators in the field with minor issues that can be solved over the phone or via GSM connected equipment.

-Work closely with the manufacture of our domestic and international sourced equipment.

Requirements/Qualifications:

-Must be able to read and comprehend electrical control circuit diagram and hydraulic schematics.

- Able to trouble shoot PLC’s, electromechanical relays & muti-functional timers.

- Comfortable with three phase electrical power and AC/DC control circuits.

-Ability to travel domestically and internationally (on a limited basis).

-Bi-lingual is a plus (Spanish).

-Pass a pre-employment criminal background investigation.

-Pass a pre-employment substance abuse screening.

-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

-Strong computer skills, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Google and Google Maps.

-Excellent, detail-oriented, well-disciplined administrative organizational skills.

-Excellent situational awareness and outstanding attention-to-detail.

-Experience with waste and recycling equipment is a plus.
