Job Description: Our client, a manufacturing job shop in Redford, is seeking a fabricator to join their busy team. This first shift position involves fabricating prototypes for the automotive industry according to print specifications. Candidates must have 7+ years of steel/metal fabrication experience, own welding equipment and proficiency in MIG/TIG Welding to be considered.

 

Location: Redford, MI

Pay Rate: $20-25/hr

Position Type: Full Time

Shift: First Shifts 

Qualifications: Ideal candidate will be able to perform and possess the following:

• 7+ years Steel/Metal Fabrication experience
• Blue Print Reading Experience
• Mathematical Aptitude
• Mechanical Aptitude
• Knowledge and/or Basic Familiarity with a Quality Management System (ISO/TS16949)

Requirements:

• Must have prototype and tooling experience
• Ability to read prints, interpret drawings and specifications
• Proficient MIG/TIG Welder
• Effective communication/people skills
• Must have own welding mask, gloves, welding pliers, hammer, tape measure, and 12” crescent wrench
