Salary: $17.00/hour

We are looking for a Crane Operator / Loader for our client, a metal fabrication company.  Overtime is available AND expected.  Anywhere from 60-70 hours/week.

Job Summary

The Plate Roll Operator is assigned to the roll department and maintains high productivity and safety awareness while working as part of a crew to produce customer orders proficiently and correctly.

Summary of Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities   

• Operating various rolls to produce products to the P.V. specs using the correct material thickness, width, and length
• Must figure out what machine to use based on capacity and length
• Must look at and read entire P.V. to calculate radius and transition lines to roll part accordingly
• Must check first article inspection and adjust to meet the given radius or radiuses
• Must direct assistant to where to place finished product, then clean machine and put tools away to maintain a clean, orderly, and systematic fashion to ensure the safety of others
• Other duties as assigned

Schedule:

• Working five or six 12-hour shifts/week.
• 3 Sat/month, rotating.

Minimum Requirements

• Press brake or roller experience required.
• Metal fabrication is a plus.
• Maine industry/shipyard/iron work experience is a plus
