Salary: $22 per hour

Our Scarborough client, a leading supplier and manufacturer of gas, tube and cryogenic trailers is looking for a Truck Spray Painter to join their dynamic team!

Responsibilities:

• Inspect trucks for damages and identify areas required for repair or refinishing
• Use power tools, such as sandblasters and grinders
• Remove dirt, rust, and old paint from surfaces!
• Assist Senior Spray Painter with prepping, priming and painting
• Fill and smooth dents and imperfections in trucks and other heavy duty machinery
• Mix and match paint colours
• Use spray guns and other spray painting equipment to apply paint to trucks and trailers
• Inspect finished paint jobs and make any necessary corrections
• Maintain spray paint equipment and keep a well-organized and clean work environment
• Strict adherence to safety protocols
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills:

• 6 months - 1 year experience as a Spray Painter
• 6 months - 1 year experience working in an Automotive Body Shop
• Comfortable lifting 50lbs
• Physically fit, comfortable bending and standing for long periods
• Good communication skills
• Coachable and willing to learn
• Team player, gets along well with others
• Safety shoes required

Bonus Qualifications:

• Wood Spray Painting experience (asset)
• Works independently and takes initiative

Compensation and Hours:

• Monday to Friday: 7:00am to 4:30pm
• Pay Rate: $22 per hour
