Summary:

A local Sonoma County shop is looking for an experienced Auto Body Technician to work in a fast-paced, high-quality restoration shop specializing in ground-up restorations of hot rods, classics, muscle cars, exotics, and more. The ideal candidate will be a highly skilled and experienced Auto Body Technician with expertise in Metal Fabrication, Rust Repair, Body Work, Sculpting, Welding, and Collision Repair. With a strong commitment to quality and efficiency, you will play a pivotal role in fulfilling our clients' high expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform Auto Body Repair: Execute high-quality auto body repairs, including block sanding, spot repairs, collision repair, and rust repair, to restore vehicles to their original condition or better.
• Metal Fabrication: Utilize advanced metal fabrication skills to shape, sculpt, and customize vehicles according to specifications.
• Welding: Proficiently weld various materials to repair and modify vehicle structures as required.
• Quality Restoration: Collaborate with the team to deliver exceptional ground-up restorations that meet or exceed clients' expectations for quality and authenticity.
• Efficient Work: Work efficiently to meet project deadlines while maintaining a high standard of craftsmanship.
• Tool Ownership: Bring and maintain a comprehensive set of tools needed for the auto body repair tasks.
• Bilingual Skills: Bilingual abilities (a plus) for effective communication with diverse team members and clients.
• Professionalism: Maintain a professional and respectful attitude within the team and while interacting with clients.
• Ongoing Improvement: Embrace bi-monthly reviews and actively seek opportunities for skill enhancement and development.
• Work Schedule: Consistently work four 9.5-hour days from Monday to Thursday, with Fridays until noon.

 

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Proven experience as an Auto Body Technician, specializing in Metal Fabrication, Rust Repair, Body Work, Sculpting, and Welding.
• Strong proficiency in welding techniques and methods.
• Solid understanding of auto body repair principles and techniques.
• Experience in collision repair and the ability to perform spot repairs and rust repairs.
• Clean and valid driver's license (DL) is required.
• Bilingual skills are a plus for effective communication.
• Possession of own comprehensive set of tools required for the job.
• High attention to detail, precision, and craftsmanship.
• Ability to carve and shape a wide range of vehicles, including hot rods, classics, muscle cars, and exotics.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to meeting project deadlines.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

 

Salary and Benefits:
