We are currently seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join our team as an Entry-Level Computer Information Systems (CIS) Specialist. Position: Entry-Level Computer Information Systems (CIS) Specialist Location: Durango, CO

Responsibilities:

1. Systems Maintenance and Support:
• Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems and network infrastructure.
• Provide technical support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
• Collaborate with the IT team to ensure smooth operations of all computer systems and peripherals.
2. Software Installation and Updates:
• Assist in installing and updating software applications on workstations and servers.
• Monitor software licenses and ensure compliance with software usage agreements.
3. Data Management:
• Assist in managing data backups, ensuring data integrity and disaster recovery readiness.
• Support data migration and data cleanup efforts as required.
4. Network Security:
• Assist in implementing and maintaining security measures to protect the company's IT assets.
• Monitor for security breaches and potential vulnerabilities, reporting and resolving incidents promptly.
5. User Training and Documentation:
• Provide basic training to end-users on software applications and IT best practices.
• Contribute to the creation and maintenance of IT documentation, including user guides and standard operating procedures.
6. Hardware Inventory and Procurement:
• Assist in managing hardware inventory, including PCs, laptops, servers, and peripherals.
• Support the IT team in procuring new hardware and software resources.
7. IT Project Support:
• Collaborate with senior CIS specialists and IT managers to support various IT projects.
• Participate in project planning, implementation, and testing phases as needed.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong passion for technology and a desire to pursue a career in the IT industry.
• Familiarity with computer hardware, software, and networking concepts.
• Basic understanding of operating systems (Windows, macOS, or Linux).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Relevant internships, coursework, or certifications in CIS/IT are a plus.
