Position: Janitorial/Custodian. (Regular part time hours, but able to be on call & also able to work weekends)

Pay: $17.00/hour

Location: Blue Island  IL

Typical shift days/times: Regular hours are 9:00am-3:30pm Monday-Friday. **Ability to be on call & also able to work weekends up to 12am. 

Type of company: Apartment Complexes

Type of position: Temp to hire

Job functions include:

Assisting with 3 apartment units

Picking up debris on grounds/exterior of properties

Inside the buildings:

1.            Mopping/sweeping hallways

2.            Trash removal

3.            Clean vacant units - (mop, sweep, trash removal, clean-blinds/windows/kitchens/bathrooms). Candidate will be using basic cleaning products such as(Windex, comet, Fabuloso, Odoban).

4.            Sweep and mop the main business office

5.            Able to lift up to 25 lbs.

6.            Assist occasionally the maintenance personnel with moving appliances & furniture around/up & down stairs. Company will provide straps to help with the lifting

7.            Willing to help train others that start after you

8.            Other small duties as assigned

Physical requirements and work environment

Standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching. 

Working outdoors and indoors 

Dress Code:

Comfortable clothing

Short sleeve shirt (plain, no writing or pictures on it)

Can wear shorts, jeans, khaki pants

Gym shoes(comfortable)
